Hard Core Deacons Hit 48 States in 10 Days

In May of this year 3 members of Deacons of Deadwood MC took on the challenge of riding 48 states in 10 days, a feat that has been recorded in the IBA records only 80 times since 1986.   Ben "Wildman" Thompson, Mike "Hooligan" Callaghan and Geoff "Sandman" Seaman averaged over 830 miles per day while getting only 2.5-4.5 hours sleep a night.   Their final odometer reading for the trip was over 9,300 miles.   This ride further cemented the fact that the Deacons of Deadwood MC rides 100's of thousands miles each year making them one of the top riding clubs in Houston.   These three riders dedicated their ride to a fellow brother Peter "Commodore" Sommer who was unable to complete the trip.
